SAE AERO DESIGN CHALLENGE

SAE AERO DESIGN CHALLENGE 2017

The team secured the first position in SAE AERO DESIGN CHALLENGE at Anna University, Chennai. The team won the best overall performance with a cash prize of INR 1,00,000 along with best technical presentation award and journal paper with a cash prize of INR 10,000. We are thankful to our faculty advisor Prof. Vikas Rastogi, and geared to continue this exemplary performance in all further competitions .

 

FLYTRON, AUTONOMOUS UAV COMPETITION

PEC FLYTRON 2017

Team UAS-DTU stood Third at Flytron, held in February, at PEC University of Technology, Disaster Management Quadcopters which can detect the difference between terrorist and civilians, and which is able to perform payload drops, which was judged by ARDB(DRDO) dignitaries.

 

QUIDDITCH-17, SR-DTU

The team stood second in competition by showcasing its good flying skills in recent Quidditch drone race event held at Delhi Technological University itself.

 

SUAS, MARYLAND

SUAS 2017
The 2017 SUAS Competition was held June 14th to 17th, 2017. A total of 59 international teams competed, 55 submitted Technical Design papers, 47 presented Flight Readiness Reviews (FRR), 42 teams attended, and 38 were able to get airborne.
Our team acquired Overall Rank 33 in the competition and Rank 14 in FRR presentation.
 

KRISHI UNNATI MELA

The team featured a technology where UAVs can be used for crop monitoring using multirotor and fixed wing UAVs.The team was the major attraction of the event in Main Theme Pavilion. The fair was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi and was attended by Shri Nitin Gadgari and Shri Radha Mohan Singh.

 

IITF ( TRADE FAIR)

Team UAS DTU Presented its system in IITF 2016, New Delhi. team UAS DTU’s Stall was attended by Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia. The team displayed its multi-rotor system Tarrot for the disaster management system.

 

LOCKHEED MARTIN

In the collaboration of Lockheed Martin, the team developed its first Next Generation Urban UAS named the Aarush-X1. The UAS is capable of autonomously navigating in an urban environment and carrying mission specific payloads.The second MOU was signed in 2013, under which a new version of Aarush (Aarush X2) was developed and successfully tested.
